Kaijuu 8-gou S01

Terrible Godzilla-like monsters known as "Kaiju" have been appearing in Japan for years. To counter these creatures, an elite military unit known as the Defense Force risks their lives to protect ordinary citizens. After a creature is killed, the "Scavengers" - who work under the Kaiju Cleaning Company - are responsible for disposing of its remains. Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man, is dissatisfied with his scavenger job. Since childhood, he had dreamed of joining the Defense Force and making a living by killing Kaiju. After several unsuccessful attempts, he had given up on his dreams and settled for a mediocre job that paid a decent salary. However, when an 18-year-old enthusiastic young soldier named Leno Ichikawa joins his cleaning team, Kafka is reminded of his dream of joining the army once again. After a series of unfortunate events and encountering the young scavenger, Kafka encounters a parasitic Kaiju that enters his body through his mouth and transforms him into a humanoid monster. With his newfound powers, Kafka intends to fulfill his long-held dream one last time.
